He was kidnapped at gunpoint from his own Atlantucky Brewery, which he Co owns with the rest of Nappy Roots

According to the police reports, Melvin Adams was approached by two male suspects with arms.

alleged robbers forced Adams to drive his Mercedes-Benz SUV to Hapeville

When Melvin Adams tried to escape from the kidnappers, one of them shot Melvin in the leg.

After the shooting incident, the kidnappers fled the scene and then took around $30 from Melvin Adams.

As per the media reports, Melvin Adams went nearby house for help, and residents called the police
